The invention relates to a mechanical zoom lens device which comprises a first cylinder (103) provided with a zoom curve groove (117) and a compensating curve groove (116), a second cylinder (104) provided with a straight line groove (115), a first circular ring (105) provided with a first keyhole (111) and a second circular ring (106) provided with a second keyhole (112), a zoon lens (107), and compensating lens systems (108, 110), wherein the first circular ring and the second circular ring are clamped within the zoom curve groove, the compensating curve groove and the straight line groove so as to limit the axial movement of the zoom lens and the compensating lens systems fixed in the circular rings for keeping a position of an image plane unchangeable. The invention has the advantagesof simple mechanical structure, less parts, easy assembly in production, low production cost, small volume of products, light weight, no easy damage when the products are transported and used, and easy maintenance.
